The Pipe Beater 100mm is a percussion accessory designed for the DIY BY BRAS system.

Initially designed for the Very Bass Overtone Flute 100mm, it is used to strike large PVC pipes and produce deep, powerful percussive sounds. It is also perfectly suited for playing percussion bass pipe instruments and other large-scale PVC percussion setups.

The Pipe Beater 100mm consists of a 3D-printed handle and support onto which a circular foam pad must be glued. Different foam materials can be used, allowing players to explore a wide range of attacks, dynamics, and timbres.

This product is available either as a Downloadable Digital File (STL) for self-printing or as a Ready-to-Use Part, carefully 3D printed in our workshop, with laser-cut foam glued, and shipped to your home.

IMPORTANT:

A circular foam pad is required to use this accessory. Cut a piece of dense foam to a diameter of approximately 112mm and glue it onto the beater head.

Different foam densities, thicknesses, and textures will produce different attacks and sound characteristics. Do not hesitate to experiment to find the response that best suits your playing style.

You must own a 3D printer or have access to a local FabLab or makerspace to use this product.
