The tuning process is very different from a pipe flute, and the hole positions allow much more freedom.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI tried to 3D print many of the ocarinas available online. There are some great designs and some very nice sounding versions, but the shapes are often difficult to print cleanly.
